The Kalachowki police in Mumbai have launched an investigation into three Instagram accounts accused of sharing a video that purportedly depicts a clash during the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. The video, which surfaced on August 26, shows a confrontation between two groups, prompting police intervention to restore order.
The complaint was filed by police constable Vikram Khaire from the Cyber Squad at the Kalachowki police station. He discovered the video while monitoring social media platforms. Authorities have identified the Instagram accounts linked to the video’s circulation and are now probing the origins, dissemination, and context of the footage. The police are concerned that the content may incite communal tension among viewers.
