Virat Kohli has added another piece of ink to his already impressive tattoo collection.

The design took five sessions and isn’t finished just yet, according to the tattoo artist who shared the pictures. The former India captain was recently spotted getting a new tattoo on his left arm, and pictures from the session have quickly made their way across social media. The design is unlike some of Kohli’s more obvious symbolic tattoos, featuring a circular pattern that looks like ripples spreading across water after a drop hits the surface. The artwork sits around Kohli’s upper arm, blending in with the tattoos he already has in the area. The artist posted several photos with Kohli and fellow tattoo artists, describing the work as a sleeve that is slowly coming together. The post showed Kohli sitting through the tattooing process at Aliens Tattoo, a studio he has been associated with on previous occasions. The new design has already caught fans’ attention, with many taking a closer look at the unusual swirling pattern. It features multiple curved lines moving around a central point, giving it the appearance of a vortex or a series of waves. And this isn’t Kohli’s first time using tattoos to mark something meaningful. Among them are the names of his parents, Saroj and Prem, along with tattoos representing Lord Shiva and the Om symbol.
And knowing his history with body art, this probably won’t be the last tattoo fans see from him.
