In 2000, he founded his own promotion, The FLQ, also referred to as FLQ 2000. LeDuc was only 5-foot-10 and weighed about 195 pounds when he started, and some people advised him against becoming a wrestler because of his size, according to Slam Wrestling. The pair won several tag team championships during their run. They captured the Grand Prix Wrestling Tag Team Championship twice and also won tag titles in NWA Florida and Stampede Wrestling.
The promotion remained active for more than two decades, according to reports following his death. He continued anyway. After stepping away from regular competition, LeDuc found another way to stay close to wrestling.
His last recorded match came in 2008, long after his main tag team years with Jos LeDuc had ended. Their LeDuc Brothers team became one of the better-known tag teams in Quebec and worked together in promotions including Stampede Wrestling, Grand Prix Wrestling and NWA Florida. He also continued making occasional appearances in the ring. Even in retirement, LeDuc remained involved in the Quebec wrestling scene and helped guide his son Carl’s career.
