Allahabad University
The university has appointed teachers from various departments and centres as mentors for students admitted in the 2026-27 academic session.
“The university administration has introduced the arrangement at the department level so that students can receive guidance from faculty members familiar with their academic environment,” said the public relations officer of AU, Prof Jaya Kapoor. The mentors will serve as an accessible point of contact for not only freshers but old students too, helping them adjust to university life and resolve issues that could otherwise affect their academic progress, she added.
Prayagraj: With the new academic session underway, Allahabad University administration, like last year, has put in place a dedicated mentoring system to help freshers navigate their first year on campus.
New Academic Year Underway with Enhanced Mentoring System
The new academic session has commenced, with classes already in progress. Teachers are required to be available in their respective departments and centers from 9 am to 5 pm during office hours.
To support new students, a mentoring system has been implemented. Faculty members will guide freshers through the academic landscape of the university and departmental operations. Mentors will provide assistance in navigating academic procedures, study arrangements, and extracurricular activities, as well as addressing any challenges that students may encounter post-admission.
