Vijayapura : It has come to light on Monday that a proprietor of a supermarket has allegedly assaulted a 11-year-old and a 15-year-old, in Malaghan village, Almel taluk.
Rahiman Appasab Walikar said in his complaint that his son Asif, 11, and neighbor Maktumsab Maibubsab Badeghar, 15, went to a nearby supermarket to bring some eateries on Aug 28 by 1.30pm.
“After a while another neighbor boy came to us and said that Asif and Maktumsab are being assaulted by super market owner. They said, first they bought a Boost packet and later purchased some eateries. As we rushed there, both boys were coming out crying and super market proprietor Ashom Manohar Pattar was seen threatening to kill the children. We rescued them and asked why were they being assaulted. Pattar suspected that they were trying to escape without paying for the the Boost packet, and assaulted them with a pipe,” he added.
He also said that both children were treated at the Government Hospital in Sindagi. “We discussed with parents of another boy and filed this complaint,” he stated. Almel police said that they have registered a case and investigating it.
