Tejal Mehta was injured in the crash on Aug 12 and died in a hospital on Aug 16
Mehta, 53, was walking down the road with her husband, Vijay, after a visit to a temple at Borivali West, according to the police. On Aug 28, Borivali Police registered an FIR against the ambulance driver, Arvind Chauhan, and a collegian who was at the wheel of the car. The car spun and hit Mehta who suffered severe head injuries and lost consciousness.
Mumbai: Two weeks after a homemaker died in a road crash at Borivali, her family approached the police to lodge a complaint and an FIR was registered against two people for rash driving and negligence. They were on RM Bhattad Road when an ambulance moving down the Sumer Nagar bridge from Borivali East to West hit a car which was moving in the north bound direction from Kandivali towards Borivali. Her husband took her in the same ambulance to a private hospital where she was admitted to the ICCU.
The victim, Tejal Mehta, was injured in the crash on Aug 12 and died in a hospital on Aug 16.
