New Delhi: A three-year-old boy was rescued after he was allegedly kidnapped in west Delhi ’s Khyala by a woman for raising him as her son after having six daughters.
Police followed the trail for over 1,000 km and reached Asnaha village in Munger district. The child had gone missing on Aug 27 while playing at GGS Hospital, where his mother had gone to get medicines, police said. After a PCR call at 12.07pm, police registered a case and launched a search. The woman, Chunari Devi (31), was residing in Madipur.
“CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas showed an unidentified woman carrying the boy away,” said DCP (west) Hareshwar V Swami. She had already left for her village in Bihar .
