Hyderabad: The city is set to emerge as a global knowledge hub, with top universities from the US and UK planning campuses, specialised courses, executive programmes and research centres in the city following chief minister Revanth Reddy-led Telangana Rising delegation tours of the UK and US.

Revanth Reddy, who also holds the education portfolio, said the agreements and letters of intent would boost Telangana’s ambition of becoming a $3-trillion economy by 2047, with a $1-trillion target by 2034.
“We will bring the best educational offerings to the youth and children of not only Telangana but the entire country,” he said. MCR HRD Institute vice-chairperson A Santhi Kumari said classes and executive programmes would begin soon, with classrooms being redesigned for world-class education.
The London School of Economics (LSE) and School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) will send teams to explore offshore schools, specialised courses, industry partnerships and bringing faculty to Hyderabad. Harvard University has also expressed interest in short-term executive education programmes for senior government and corporate officials at the MCR HRD Institute.
