Club Reign Triumphs at Saratoga Race Course
On August 29, Club Reign, a 2-year-old colt owned by Russell Wilson and Ciara’s new racing venture, achieved a significant victory at Saratoga Race Course. Ridden by jockey Edgard Zayas, Club Reign finished six lengths ahead of the competition in the first race of the Travers Day card. This win marks a successful debut for Three Brand Racing, the ownership group associated with the couple.
Wilson, who has transitioned from his NFL career, continues to engage in various ventures including broadcasting, business, and charitable work. The victory at Saratoga adds to a busy year for the former quarterback and his wife, showcasing their commitment to their new racing endeavor.
The colt is now being considered for major races such as the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. Club Reign’s performance could also lead to bigger opportunities.
