Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district minister UT Khader instructed officials to make the necessary preparations to attract a larger number of tourists to the district during the upcoming Mangaluru Dasara.
The minister emphasised that all arrangements, including electrical illuminations, cleanliness, and decorations, must be made to create a vibrant festive atmosphere across Mangaluru city. He directed officials to ensure attractive electrical lighting on major roads and key junctions near prominent Dasara venues, such as the Kudroli, Mangaladevi, and Urwa temples. He urged all departments to coordinate and cooperate in these efforts. The minister instructed the health department to set up 24×7 health centres, and directed the RTO to ensure that city buses operate late into the night during the festival. Additionally, he stated that commercial establishments and trade centers in the city should be permitted to remain open and conduct business late into the night.
