Two brothers allegedly assaulted their elderly parents after a dispute over land.
The incident took place on the evening of August 30 at Tarangwadi village in Indapur tehsil.
The accused also allegedly abused the couple and threatened to kill them if the land deal was not cancelled, police said. Tukaram suffered injuries to his back, face, thighs and shoulder, while his wife sustained injuries to her wrist and waist. Locals gathered at the spot and alerted the police, following which the injured couple was taken to the Sub-District Hospital in Indapur for treatment. A case has been registered against the two brothers at Indapur police station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
