BENGALURU: Bengaluru Development minister Krishna Byre Gowda raps officials on poor monitoring of road works. He flagged the issue of contractors dumping debris near trees irresponsibly and questioned officials why they were not preventing this. He questioned whether the works were being carried out in the public interest or merely to enable contractors to raise bills. He also questioned whether old poles should not be removed and uniformly designed poles installed when new electricity poles are put up.
