The Srinagar-born artiste has announced his first-ever national tour, The Unbecoming Tour , which will travel to six cities in November and December. After spending six years carving out a space for himself in India’s independent music scene, singer-songwriter Faheem Abdullah is ready to take his music to audiences across the country.

Tickets will be available exclusively on thumpN, with general sales opening on September 5 at 2 pm. Abdullah first built his artistic identity through emotionally charged, acoustic music, with his album Lost;Found and the track Ishq helping him find a wider audience.

“This new chapter is about stripping away from the formal identity of being an artist and unlearning everything the industry expects of me,” Abdullah says. Mohit Bijlani, Founder of Team Innovation, says the collaboration comes at a time when independent musicians are increasingly commanding large and loyal audiences. “He is a generational voice commanding a fiercely loyal community, proving that independent music is no longer a subculture but a commercially viable headline act,” he says.

Produced and promoted by Team Innovation, the tour will make stops in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Known for his emotionally driven songwriting, Abdullah’s live shows promise to move away from the scale and spectacle often associated with contemporary concerts. Instead, The Unbecoming Tour is being positioned as a more intimate experience, built around acoustic storytelling, vulnerability and a shared connection with the audience. Blending indie folk and contemporary rock with traditional ghazal influences, Abdullah has developed a distinctive sound rooted in evocative Urdu and Kashmiri songwriting. His music often draws from his Srinagar roots, lending his songs a sense of nostalgia and warmth that has resonated with a growing audience. “I am pulling back the layers to share the most authentic, unfiltered side of my musical DNA. I want these shows to feel like a sanctuary, a place where we can silence the outer chaos and build something beautiful together. He later expanded his musical footprint with projects including Hoor for Coke Studio Bharat and Chand Mera Dil . With The Unbecoming Tour , the singer-songwriter now begins a new chapter—one that brings his music from headphones and playlists to audiences across India. Looking for trusted parenting advice?
