A 20m stretch of the school’s left-side boundary wall collapsed on June 8 following heavy rain, exposing the campus to the surrounding area.
School development and monitoring committee (SDMC) vice-president Prakash said repeated appeals to the authorities had failed to yield any action. Mangaluru: More than two months after monsoon rains brought down a portion of the boundary wall of the DK Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School in Gandhinagar , no repair work has been taken up, leaving the campus vulnerable to trespassers and theft. School authorities recently found several items missing, including toilet pipes, taps and door locks. The incident has caused concern among teachers and parents, who have sought immediate intervention from the authorities.
Since then, the lack of a secure perimeter has raised concerns about the safety of students and school property.
