Bengaluru : The 16th edition of Aero India will be held at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka, between Feb 8 and 12, 2027, with online registration for exhibitors and booking of exhibition space opening on Sept 3, the ministry of defence (MoD) has confirmed. The IAF Training Command had said its Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Air Marshal S Shrinivas, briefed Karnataka chief minister DK Shivakumar on preparations for Aero India 2027, on Aug 4. At Aero India 2025, defence minister Rajnath Singh held bilateral meetings with defence ministers from Tanzania, Zambia, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Yemen, Ethiopia, Gambia and Gabon.
The CM had assured cooperation from the state administration and departments for the event. Bengaluru has hosted every edition of Aero India since the show began. “Aero India has emerged as a flagship international event showcasing the nation’s growing capabilities in aerospace, defence manufacturing, emerging technologies and innovation. It provides a dynamic platform for business engagement, technology exchange, international cooperation and strategic dialogue, while highlighting India’s expanding defence industrial ecosystem and its growing role in the global aerospace and defence sector,” MoD’s latest statement reads. The event also hosted a defence ministers’ conclave and CEOs’ roundtable.
The announcement of dates comes close on the heels of the Indian Air Force (IAF) training confirming the venue — as Bengaluru — earlier this month.
