Police said that many loudspeakers installed at significant heights naturally project sound far beyond property boundaries, making compliance difficult without physical intervention. The campaign follows recent appeals by SP KK Bishnoi, who urged mutawallis (mosque caretakers), clerics and other religious leaders to strictly adhere to govt guidelines and court mandates. Police emphasised that sound from public address systems must remain confined within the premises of the respective institutions. Consequently, non-compliant equipment is being dismantled to enforce the prescribed limits. Authorities maintained that the drive is strictly regulatory rather than targeted, urging residents of all communities to cooperate as field teams continue district-wide inspections and act against non-compliant sites.
