Kochi : Thrikkakara Police registered a case against a second-year BBA student for allegedly digitally altering photographs and videos of teachers and students into obscene content and sharing them online.
The alleged offences occurred between Dec 2025 and Sept 2026, according to the police.
The police said that it was students who noticed that photographs taken during college events were being allegedly morphed and circulated online. The police registered the case following a complaint filed by the college authorities. The student allegedly circulated the content through social media platforms and various groups. The youth allegedly compiled the images taken during various college events. He is also accused of using AI to make the edits. The college has also confiscated his mobile phone and handed it over to the police.
The college dismissed the student on Wednesday after an initial disciplinary inquiry based on the complaint.
