Lucknow: Deputy chief minister and health minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday directed the department to dismiss 26 doctors from service for allegedly remaining absent from duty for prolonged periods and failing to perform their responsibilities at government hospitals across the state.
Dismissal Orders Issued After Review of Duty Violations
Officials announced that dismissal orders were executed following a thorough review of cases regarding unauthorized absences and alleged dereliction of duty. These actions came after the completion of departmental proceedings, indicating a formal process was undertaken before the decisions were made.

The deputy chief minister also directed the additional chief secretary (health) to initiate departmental proceedings against nine doctors: Dr Srinivas Yadav (Etawah), Dr K.K. Chahal (Rampur), Dr Sangeeta Chopra (Meerut), Dr Awadhesh Rathore (Badaun), Dr Santosh Chak and Dr Dheeraj Prakash (both Bhadohi), Dr Sumit Kumar (Balrampur), Arvind Malik and Dr Asad (both Gautam Buddh Nagar).
