The initiative began in 2024 on Janmashtami, when gifts were sent from Kashi Vishwanath Dham, on behalf of Bhagwan Shri Vishweshwar, to Krishna Janmasthan. So far, more than 100 temples from nearly 15 countries have sent goodwill messages to Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, which are being forwarded to Shri Krishna Janmasthan Trust along with the offerings. Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust CEO Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said the objective of the initiative is to strengthen spiritual dialogue, cultural harmony and mutual reverence among major pilgrimage centres and temples of Sanatan Dharm. Varanasi: From the sacred heart of Kashi to the birthplace of Krishna’s devotion in Mathura, a tradition of faith is quietly turning into a bridge between two revered centres of Sanatan culture. On Janmashtami , Kashi Vishwanath Dham sent special gift items for Laddu Gopal to Shri Krishna Janmasthan, Mathura, along with a message of devotion, cultural exchange, and mutual reverence. After being offered to Bhagwan Shri Vishweshwar, the sacred offerings were dispatched to Mathura amid Vedic chanting and traditional rituals. The tradition was further strengthened through the exchange of offerings and devotional messages between Kashi and Mathura on Rangbhari Ekadashi. This year, the trust has also taken the initiative to compile goodwill messages addressed to Shri Krishna Janmasthan Trust from deities enshrined in temples across India and abroad on the occasion of Janmashtami. The trust has also been receiving greetings from temples and religious institutions across the world, reflecting the growing acceptance and significance of this cultural and religious initiative. Kashi and Mathura are both prominent centres of Indian Sanatan culture and spiritual consciousness. The tradition being established between these two sacred pilgrimage centres conveys a message of unity, dialogue, shared devotion and mutual reverence to the entire Sanatan community.
