The LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers was established back in 2013 to support the rising stars in the fashion world, and one of the prizes under the label is the Karl Lagerfeld Prize. She is set to present the Karl Lagerfeld Prize for First Runner-Up, which carries a prize of €200,000, i.e., Rs 2.19 crore.

The ambassador for the LVMH Prize ceremony in Paris on Friday will be part of the noble list of presenters, including Dior ambassador Jennifer Lawrence and Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund, who is the face of Louis Vuitton, whereas the ceremony will take place at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris. The LVMH Prize ceremony is held every year by luxury goods group LVMH to celebrate and help young fashion designers across the globe. It is the place where the young designers get recognised, supported, and promoted in the industry that puts extreme pressure on the participants. This is what makes the role of Priyanka as an ambassador so interesting, as it connects a well-established celebrity with the designers who are responsible for the future of fashion.
