Hyderabad: A 32-year-old cab driver was robbed at knifepoint in the early hours of Wednesday after picking up two passengers for a ride from Shamshabad to Aramgarh.
The assailants took two mobile phones, Rs 180 cash and escaped in his cab. The victim, Sabhavath Rajender Kumar of Airport Colony, received a booking from Shamshabad to Aramgarh around 2.30 am, according to police. He picked up two men from HUDA Colony near Rajiv Gruhakalpa on the ORR service road around 2.40 am.
The entire stolen property was recovered along with the knife used in the offence. RGI Airport police arrested three accused, including a man and two juveniles on Friday. “We arrested three accused, including Faizullah of Jalpally and two juveniles, from the ORR service road in Shamshabad on Thursday night. The accused were remanded to judicial custody on Friday,” said RGIA detective inspector G Pavan Kumar.
RGI Airport police registered a case under Section 309(4) of the BNS for robbery and launched an investigation.
