21yo man electrocuted by DJ wire at friend’s birthday party
Agra : A 21-year-old graduation student died after allegedly coming into contact with a live wire connected to a DJ system during a friend’s birthday party in Ashokpur village under Kurawali police station in Mainpuri district on Friday night.

The deceased, Govind Yadav, a resident of Surajpur Manauna village, left home shortly after 8pm to attend his friend’s birthday celebration in Ashokpur, according to local social worker Sahjendra Singh. SHO Lalit Bhati said, “The police had completed the inquest proceedings and were carrying out the post-mortem formalities. A DJ was playing at the party when one of its wires became live, and Govind accidentally came into contact with it, suffering severe electric burns. People attending the party rushed to his aid and informed his family. His relatives took him to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kurawali, where doctors examined him and declared him dead. Govind was the younger of two brothers. His elder brother works in farming and also does daily-wage labour to support the family. Kurawali police took the body into custody. Further investigation into the circumstances leading to the electrocution is underway. Download the TOI App.
