A passenger was detained at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow due to concerns raised during immigration clearance. Authorities noted that the individual’s travel pattern appeared suspicious, prompting further investigation.
The passenger, a resident of Malihabad in Lucknow, arrived on Flight WY-265 from Muscat on Friday morning. Because of his travel pattern and recent arrival from Bangkok, during immigration clearance, an officer detained the passenger for questioning.
Pre-arrival analysis of the Advance Passenger Information System data showed that the passenger had travelled from Bangkok to Oman before flying to Lucknow, according to the immigration source. He initially told the officer that he had visited Bangkok for business-related work.
