As the unique car museum completed 25 years, the premises will host the Car and Cinema Festival, termed the first of its kind in the country. The event will feature movies on the theme of cars from India and abroad, such as Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958) and The Italian Job (1969). Gautam Sen , consultant to the Dastan Autoworld, said the museum, with over 100 cars, is home to some of the most renowned cars in the world, several of which are unique to India.

“What would be a better medium to connect the masses to the world of vintage and classic cars than cinema?” said Brijesh Chinai, custodian of the Dastan Autoworld – Pranlal Bhogilal Collection. Chinai said they will consider making it a recurring event. “Each car has history attached to it—several were acquired from the former princely states, and getting to know about these cars is a deep dive into history,” he said.
