HEAD: 24_Mad_AA_03MD2402 SCHOOL GIRL DIED IN AN ACCIDENT AT TIRUNELVELI According to police sources, on the morning of Friday (February 20), at around 8.15 am, Isakkiyappan, 30, a driver for a private engineering college in Thatchanallur, started his morning shift and travelled along the Tirunelveli-Kadayam road. They arrested the driver, and a case was registered by Suthamalli police under section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of BNS. Meanwhile, Selvabala, 15, a Class 10 girl, succumbed to a severe head injury on Monday night.
The bus had no occupants at that time. When the bus reached Suthamalli, the speeding bus ploughed into an oncoming auto-rickshaw ferrying schoolchildren. On receiving information, the police arrived at the spot and found the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The remaining two children and the driver were receiving treatment, and their conditions were stable.
Tirunelveli: A Class 10 student succumbed to her injuries at the Tirunelveli govt Medical College Hospital on Monday night after the auto-rickshaw she travelled in met with an accident on Friday (February 20).
