Rodgers, 42, has confirmed that the 2026 NFL season will be his final one, making his next chapter outside football very different from the life he has known for more than two decades.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback has said he hopes to start a family with his wife, Brittani, once his playing career ends. “I’m hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we’re going to start a family,” Rodgers said, adding that he wants to step away from the spotlight and enjoy “a life of quiet” after his 22 years in the NFL and three years playing college football. He also said he wants to focus on getting his body healthy and “working on a family. Rodgers said he has been enjoying his role as “Uncle Aaron,” spending time with his brother’s children and his godchildren. “I’m definitely excited about it,” Rodgers said. He said he is looking forward to everything that comes with having children, including the parts that could make his post-NFL life considerably less quiet. “I can’t wait for that next chapter of life and all that that entails, and sleepless nights and crying babies and changing diapers and all those things,” Rodgers said. “I’m looking forward to all of it.”

Aaron Rodgers is already looking beyond his final NFL season, and his plans for life after football are becoming much more personal. That means Rodgers was not announcing a pregnancy. Instead, he was revealing that having children is now one of his biggest goals once his NFL career is over. Being around them, he explained, has made both him and Brittani more excited about having children of their own. “Being back in my family’s lives, I’m having a lot of fun being Uncle Aaron. Rodgers isn’t simply talking about the glamorous side of fatherhood, either.
