Gadag : The district BJP unit has issued show-cause notices to 23 party workers for participating in the Gen-Z protest held on Aug 31 and has given them seven days to submit their replies.

District BJP president Raju Kuradagi told TOI that notices were served to 23 workers who were present at the protest. Stay updated with the latest Hubballi news.

We have been dispatching notices for the past two to three days and have given them seven days to respond,” he said. The BJP state leadership will take care of such leaders,” Kuradagi said. “Irked by the district unit’s move, we have submitted our resignations and they have been accepted,” they said.

“Their participation has caused embarrassment to the party and does not support the party’s growth. The protest was led by Anil Menasinakai, who was the BJP candidate in the previous two assembly elections. However, no action has been initiated against him. “As Menasinakai is a defeated candidate, the district unit cannot initiate any action against him. Meanwhile, some of the workers who received the notices have reportedly submitted their resignations.
