Koradi police in Nagpur have initiated an investigation following a disturbing incident involving a 17-year-old girl. During a medical examination, it was discovered that she is approximately five months pregnant. The girl has alleged that she was raped by two unidentified men on a motorcycle, who rendered her unconscious before the assault. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which aims to protect minors from sexual crimes.
The girl stated that she realised what had happened after regaining consciousness, but did not disclose the incident to her family due to fear.

This discovery came months after the initial issue arose, highlighting the importance of timely medical check-ups.
Police said the accused named in the complaint remain unidentified and no arrests have been made. Based on her statement, Koradi police have registered a case. During the course of the investigation, however, officers began questioning the version of events narrated by the girl and are examining the role of a youth with whom she was allegedly in contact. Investigators are verifying the survivor’s claims and examining all possible angles to establish the facts of the case. Further investigation is underway.
