Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh govt has intensified flood relief operations, distributing over 6.83 lakh meal packets and 1.11 lakh relief kits. So far, 19,496 people, including around 6,000 on Monday, have been evacuated to safer locations, with no reported human or cattle casualties.

The state has set up 1,634 relief posts and 1,315 shelters, while 1,072 medical teams and 2,161 boats and motorboats have been deployed. Over 6.68 lakh chlorine tablets and 2.60 lakh ORS packets have also been distributed. Of 1,490 houses reported damaged, assistance has been provided in 1,272 cases.
