UoH to convert Sarojini Naidu home into cultural hub Hyderabad Central University
Hyderabad : Golden Threshold — the former home of Sarojini Naidu — will soon be converted into a museum, literary and cultural hub. Renovation work on the building, an off-campus annexe of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), is almost complete, and it is expected to be handed over to the varsity within the next month or so. The announcement comes on a day the Telangana endowments department handed over a treasure trove of the legendary poet’s belongings — letters exchanged with prominent global figures, rare photographs with other key members of India’s Independence struggle, books and artefacts — to the varsity. The items will now be preserved at Golden Threshold, which was once Naidu’s home.
