Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested a ₹50,000 reward-wanted accused

Transporter murder case accused Jai Kishan Sharma

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) arrested a ₹50,000 reward-wanted accused in connection with the abduction and murder of transporter Dhirendra Pratap Singh. The accused, Jai Kishan Sharma, was arrested near Sector 10 intersection in the Sushant Golf City area. Dhirendra Pratap Singh, a transporter, owner of an NGO and linked to BJP, had gone missing under suspicious circumstances on Aug 29, according to the STF. The police had also recovered the SUV in which he was murdered and later dumped about 20 km away. He further told investigators that on Aug 29, he, his brother Ravi Kishan and a shooter allegedly sent by Ravi’s associate carried out the killing.

Jai Kishan also told investigators that he and Pooja threw Dhirendra’s mobile phone from a train after the incident. His bullet ridden body was recovered the next day. Lucknow police later had arrested his driver Ravi Kishan Sharma alias Ravi Pandit and Omkar.
