The case came to light after the woman approached Kodigehalli police station on September 3, following which an FIR was registered against the doctor.
At around 11am, he allegedly sprayed pepper spray on her face and forcibly raped her, police said. Relevant provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have also been invoked, a senior police officer said. Following her complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) dealing with rape, criminal intimidation and intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace.
BENGALURU: A radiologist has been booked for allegedly raping a woman staff member at his diagnostic centre and subsequently sexually assaulting her repeatedly, besides abusing her with casteist remarks and threatening her with a video, police said on Tuesday.

“All allegations are being verified and further investigation is underway,” he added.
