A bench of Justice G Gireesh directed the petitioner to take steps to issue notice to the respondents and adjourned the petition to Sept 10.
The explicit and vulgar expressions had triggered widespread public outrage, according to Easwar. The petitioner’s case was that Kapikad had allegedly made certain controversial remarks against the two deities. He further stated that the video containing the alleged remarks was widely shared and circulated through social media platforms. He further claimed that despite filing a complaint seeking action, a case had not yet been registered.
