Mangaluru : The Dalit Sanghatanegala Samanvaya Samiti has warned of intensified protests if the state government fails to allot DC Manna land to eligible beneficiaries within a month.
Addressing mediapersons, Samiti general convener Ramesh Kotian said that in 2017, the then Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner had proposed amendments to the 1969 Land Grant Rules and suggested introducing the Special Land Grant Rules, 2017. Stating that applications have been submitted from various taluks of Dakshina Kannada, Ekkar said thousands of applicants continue to face hardship due to delays in receiving land.
