Salam demanded that Sudhakaran publicly disclose details of land and flats purchased in his own

In a Facebook post, Salam asked whether Sudhakaran was willing to publish accounts of the funds collected in Salam’s and the party’s name during the 2021 assembly elections.

He asked whether Sudhakaran — who he said projects a clean image — was prepared to reveal his family’s assets and his son’s NRI bank accounts. Salam alleged that Sudhakaran, who he said repeatedly resorts to personal attacks on party leaders and elected representatives, must clarify whether he had earlier urged DYFI leaders to engage in criminal acts. He said a person who had left the party after betraying it need not return to “reform” CPM.

He questioned whether that money had been used to buy land and other properties, including in Paravur, in the names of Sudhakaran’s wife and son. Salam demanded that Sudhakaran publicly disclose details of land and flats purchased in his own and his wife’s names, and assets in the names of his son and daughter-in-law. The post is a continuation of the ongoing public feud between Salam and Sudhakaran. The exchange between the two is likely to fuel further political debate within the party in the coming days.

Salam’s latest broadside came in response to Sudhakaran’s earlier statement that CPM had been reduced to mere fund collections and rallies.
