More than 30 festival committees, mandals and individuals have faced legal action for noise pollution violations over the past year, with sound systems and related equipment seized in several cases, according to police.

FIRs can also be registered against a mandal’s president, secretary and other office bearers if their role in the violation was established. Violations can attract fines, seizure of equipment and imprisonment under relevant laws.
