Kin block road after youth's death in Knp Dehat

On Wednesday morning, family members and villagers in Jithrauli Chauraha, Kanpur Dehat, blocked the Moosanagar–Raipur main road in response to the death of 24-year-old Aman Bhadauriya. Bhadauriya succumbed to injuries sustained under suspicious circumstances while receiving treatment in a hospital. The protests highlight community concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding his injuries and subsequent death.

Kanpur: A 24-year-old youth died of head injuries sustained under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday night, following which family members and villagers blocked the Moosanagar–Raipur road at Jithrauli Chauraha in Kanpur Dehat, alleging police inaction in the case. The youth was part of one of the two groups that had clashed on Sept 4, according to family members. They alleged that police took no action on their complaint and instead brokered a compromise between the two groups. Family members alleged that timely police action after the dispute might have saved the youth’s life. The family sought an impartial investigation and strict action against those responsible. SDM Rajkumar Pandey, Dy SP Sanjay Singh and a large police contingent reached the scene and tried to persuade the protesters to end the blockade.

The angry villagers placed the youth’s body on the road on Wednesday morning and raised slogans against the police, causing traffic snarls on both sides of the road.

Officials said an impartial investigation would be conducted in the case and necessary action would follow based on facts established during the probe.
