The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur is set to host the National Conference on Patient Safety 2026 on September 11 and 12. This event will take place in the auditorium located in Mihan. The conference is organized in partnership with the National Patient Safety Secretariat (NPSS) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) of the Government of India.
It is being organised in lead-up to World Patient Safety Day, which is observed every year on Sept 17. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will grace the conference on Sept 12 as chief guest. Organised under the leadership of Prof (Dr) Prashant P Joshi, executive director, AIIMS Nagpur, the conference will bring together directors of various AIIMS and Institutes of National Importance (INIs), healthcare leaders, clinicians, nursing professionals, hospital administrators, patient safety nodal officers, researchers, and delegates from across India to deliberate on practical and sustainable measures to make healthcare safer.
