Kolkata: Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari will now be given Z+ security when he travels outside Bengal. Prior to the upgrade by the ministry of home affairs, Adhikari was provided with Z-category central security outside Bengal, while in the state he received Z+ cover. The decision follows the latest evaluation of Adhikari’s security requirements. Under the upgraded cover, central agencies will handle Adhikari’s security directly. Adhikari will also receive at least one bulletproof vehicle along with a pilot and escort car during his travels outside Bengal. Download the TOI App.
