A total of 7,302 out-of-school children have been identified, of which 509 children have since been enrolled in schools and 263 admitted to industrial training institutes (ITIs). A total of 28 children with disabilities and special needs required additional support. Chennai: Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) held a meeting and support camp for out-of-school children with disabilities on Thursday, under joint commissioner (education) K Karpagam.
