Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday questioned the state govt’s allotment of land worth Rs 250 crore at Tukkuguda, near Bharat Future City, to Tesseract Advanced Systems for Rs 7 crore, alleging links between the company and chief minister Revanth Reddy ’s family.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah’s claims that Telangana had become a “Congress ATM”, KTR asked why the Centre was not acting if it believed public resources were being misused. Alleging that BRS legislators were suspended from the Assembly when they sought to raise the issue, KTR said the party had taken its protest to the site instead. The BRS leader said his party would continue its campaign, including village-level meetings across Rangareddy district, and explore legal and democratic avenues.
He also questioned the BJP-led Centre and agencies including the ED, Income Tax department and CBI over their alleged inaction on the matter. He challenged the govt to extend similar land allotments and concessions to ordinary citizens, farmers and young entrepreneurs. He urged the media to examine the legal and financial implications of the Future City project and alert potential investors to any risks.
