Varanasi: A 52-year-old saree businessman from Pandeypur is in critical condition after allegedly shooting himself with his licensed pistol on Thursday morning. He was rushed to the BHU Trauma Centre, where doctors found a bullet lodged in his head.
The incident took place near his residence on Azamgarh Road at Pandeypur crossing under the Cantt police station area, according to reports. His family said everything appeared normal at home and expressed shock over the incident. Soni had stepped out for a morning walk when a gunshot was heard a short distance from his home. Family members and nearby residents rushed to the spot and took him to hospital.
