Prayagraj: After taking serious note of a group of youths allegedly involved in reckless SUV stunt driving, the city cops on Sunday rolled out an extensive, multi-layered enforcement campaign to curb dangerous stunt and riding practices across the district.

A video showing four SUV drivers performing an SUV stunt went viral on social media on Sept 5, inviting police action. Senior police have asked thana in-charges to make a dynamic enforcement strategy to conduct checking by changing locations and timings. This randomised pattern, as per the officials, is aimed at preventing habitual offenders from predicting police deployment and escaping action. Cops have also appealed to commuters to follow traffic rules and regulations and not get involved in stunt acts.

On Sunday, Cantt police seized four SUVs involved in stunt acts and making reels under Motor Vehicle Act that could be dangerous to other commuters.
