Palghar police reported that nine individuals connected to the attack at Relief Hospital surrendered at the local police station on Sunday. Their return brings the total number of arrests in this case to 23. With all suspects now in custody, law enforcement expressed relief at resolving this incident.
14 accused had been arrested till Saturday. All nine accused, along with 13 of those arrested earlier, were produced before the Palghar holiday sessions court around 7 pm on Sunday. They included suspended district chief Kundan Sankhe, Yuva Sena chief Sairaj Patil , Manish alias Vicky Sankhe, Rahul Sankhe, Rishabh Ware, corporator Neelam Sankhe and Manoj Gharat. Another accused, a driver, was also arrested. The hearing continued till late at night. Download the TOI App.

The attack took place at Relief Hospital on Sept 5 after a dispute over the treatment of injured Govindas. The case initially involved 17 accused, but the number was subsequently increased. Shiv Sena workers had allegedly attacked hospital staff following the dispute.
