The original proposal included extending the fence all the way toward the beach, according to reports. Bratenahl Mayor Keith Benjamin said the village has experience welcoming high-profile residents while respecting their need for privacy. “We’re used to this in Bratenahl,” Benjamin told The New York Times. “We take pride in being a welcoming community where people can feel connected to their lives and also feel comfortable enjoying their private lives,” Keith Benjamin told News 5.

Kelce has experienced the risks of unwanted attention firsthand. That experience makes the desire for stronger security understandable.
