Kanpur: In pursuance of decision taken in UP state advocate conference the advocates of Kanpur Nagar will abstain from judicial work on Wednesday.
The state level conference of advocates was held on Sept 10 and 11 where it was unanimously decided that all the advocates of the state will abstain judicial work on every Wednesday till their demands were not met. During the state level convention it was also decided to boycott the national Lok Adalat held on Sept 12. The office bearers of Kanpur Bar Association and The Lawyers Association jointly put a notice of this effect in their respective notice boards. General secretary Kanpur Bar Association, Vinay Mishra, stated that if any advocate is found involved in judicial work in the court then he would be suspended from both the associations. Majority of advocates keep themselves away from Lok Adalat proceedings.
