CHENNAI: DMK Chief MK Stalin launched a scathing attack on the state govt following raids on former school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, calling it a desperate weapon deployed by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s failing administration. Highlighting a series of escalating crises in his social media post, Stalin questioned the governance priorities of CM Vijay.
“While the state unravels under these critical failures, the CM is completely oblivious, busy shooting in London,” MK Stalin charged. Attributing the raids directly to administrative failure and political cowardice, the DMK leader said: “Unable to resolve these pressing public issues, this incompetent TVK govt has unleashed raids as weapons against former minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. Stalin continued in the same vein and listed out the law and order problems: state-wide power cuts triggering massive public outrage, agitations by Pattinapakkam fishermen, protests outside the Secretariat by families of missing persons in Nepal awaiting answers, a shortage of Aavin milk, the brutal double murder in Ramanathapuram, the horrific beating and murder of a state bus driver during the Pillaiyar Chaturthi procession in Chennai, and the harassment of a woman police officer by a TVK functionary in Ayanavaram. It is purely to divert public attention.”
