“Vijaya Sarathi and Punithavan are in a critical condition,” said an officer at the Gobichettipalayam police station. The accident happened when the group was returning after visiting Kodiveri dam. “The car fell into a pit and was badly damaged. Police and locals rescued the passengers and sent them to Gobichettipalayam Government Hospital. Later, they were referred to Tirupur Government Hospital. Police registered a case and were investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
