New Delhi: Students in Delhi govt schools will be making reels from Thursday, filming stories around kindness, community service, cleanliness, environmental protection, helping vulnerable people and their own contribution to nation building.
The activities are part of Directorate of Education’s month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at giving students a platform to express ideas on public service, development and “Viksit Bharat @2047”.
The month-long campaign will also include drawing and speech competitions under the theme ‘25 Crore Children’s Dreams of India’.
The activities are intended to give students an opportunity to express their “ideas, creativity and aspirations” around public service, development and nation building, according to a circular issued by DoE’s physical education branch. Under “Seva Mera Yogdan — My Contribution to Society”, students can document acts of kindness, compassion and community service or show, youth participation in nation building. Heads of all govt schools have been directed to ensure participation of students. The prescribed themes also include Jan Bhagidari or people’s participation in nation building, cleanliness, environmental protection and civic responsibility, helping vulnerable sections, and respecting public property and national symbols.
