A school van carrying four children crashed into a tree in Ghaziabad after the driver lost control at Sen Chowk. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported among the children. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident to ensure safety measures are in place for school transportation.
Dharampal Singh, SHO of Vijay Nagar police station said that today at around 7.30 in the morning, a school van (DL 12 CJ 8912), which was going to drop four children studying at Pratap Vihar DAV School to school, was being driven by Lakhan (35), resident of Crossing Republic area. Four children sitting in the van, whose ages were about 13-14 years, did not sustain any injuries. “Near Sen Chowk, the driver lost control and first collided with a tree and then came onto the service road.
Their family members were informed and called at the school and handed over to them,” SHO said. Police said a private van had been arranged jointly by the children’s family members for taking the children to school.
